Well, as we’re heading into spring now, sisters, let’s have a look ahead to the year and the fashion trends that we think are going to be big. Some of these you’ll recognise as old favourites that just never seem to go away.

Some you’ll know are coming back from their brief hiatus. And others are completely new, so this summer is going to be such a cute mix for all those crossdressers out there!

Pastels and Florals: The Perfect Spring Combo

We’re starting with what I think will be the number one trend for the year, and I know you’ll love this one. It’s going to be a huge return of pastels matched with florals. The pastel thing we’ve seen before, but it’s never as popular as it is in the spring, and we’ve seen some great pastels come back again and again. I am sure we all remember the famous strawberry dresses from a few years ago. Well, get ready for another great pastel moment with spring flowers.

I am personally looking to match a nice baby blue or bumblebee yellow dress with a thick pair of white stockings or tights. My accessories will be a matching ribbon tied around my waist, some small matching pumps or even ballet flats, and maybe a nice floral headband.

For makeup, I would like to use some nice shades of pink or blue eyeshadow, a little blush on the cheeks, and some clear lip gloss. But always remember never to match apstels with ANY dark colour, you’re better than that!

Crop Tops Are Back: Embrace the Trend with Confidence

The next trend is not new, but it is coming back again and in a big way! Crop tops. Now, as you know, this trend can be risky, depending on how far you want to go and who is okay with seeing your cleavage. This is where you can use your chest piece to its full advantage.

A nice loose, low-cut blouse could also work and you can easily dress this up with a jacket. I’ve tried this with my Roanyer chest piece and have found that it gives a very realistic look. I cannot get over how cute the nipples are pressed up against the material.

Accessories to Watch: Hoop Earrings, High Ponytails, and Chokers

Now, something very close to my heart growing up… Big hoop earrings! They are going to be massive this year, and the bigger, the better. These will complement any outfit, and I can’t wait to go to a party wearing my big gold hoops.

The best part is that you can buy them even if you don’t have pierced ears! The new faux earrings are the way forward for some of us crossdressers; they look just as good and are less bulky.

In terms of hairstyles, I would love to see us bring back the high ponytail. It’s simple for all of us to try with our wigs or natural hair. You probably already own many wigs that can be done this way.

My suggestion is to pair your high ponytail with some nice, large, white socks. It will make your legs look fantastic—not too bulky but still very noticeable. This will give you that sporty look for when you want to look active and cute.

I would like to see the choker necklace return. This accessory can add a bit of spice to an otherwise normal outfit and will be a nice accent. For those of you who want to keep things safe, maybe don’t go for the thick leather choker but perhaps a cute bow.

If you are feeling daring, though, there are plenty of lace, fishnet, and studded chokers out there, and the more, the better. Trust me, sisters, the feeling of having that choker around your neck is just a rush.

On a different note, dirty blonde is going to be the next big hair trend. If you’re a crossdresser who wants darker hair, like myself, I suggest getting a blonde wig for the summer.

This is an easy, cheap change to make, and I guarantee you will feel great about it. For makeup, I think we will continue with the pink and blue eye shadows, but for a more natural look, I would suggest going with lighter eyeshadow and some nude lips. Extra points for a Sabrina Carpenter look with those darker brown roots and lighter blonde tips!

With a good chest piece and hip pads, this summer is the perfect time to rock a figure-hugging skirt! With the weather being nicer, we can show off our legs a bit more and not feel too self-conscious. In fact, a good pair of thigh-high socks would be perfect. A bit of colour on the legs makes them pop, and you will feel so confident. I’m currently weighing up several tennis skirts as I write this!

If you have bought your body suit, then there are many great options this summer. In a full-body suit, you could go for a swimsuit or bikini. There are plenty of pastel colours, polka dots, and stripes to choose from, even a couple with flowers! Alternatively, you can opt for a cropped top and a pair of high-waisted jeans for a cute, casual look. I am personally saving up for a nice denim jumpsuit for this summer.
