TikTok Beauty Hacks That Crossdressers Can Try

As crossdressers, we’re both in the online and makeup world constantly. We’re always on the lookout for the latest makeup hacks and follow the latest trends on social media, especially TikTok. TikTok has become a holy grail social media app for crossdressers. It’s so easy to find how-to videos and makeup tutorials. You can also find makeup gurus and content creators who share their favorite products and tips for every step of your makeup routine.

TikTok is also great because it allows users to interact with each other in real-time. It’s almost like having a friend right there with you who’s helping you figure out how to do your makeup! But we all know how it’s hard to keep up with all the new makeup hacks on TikTok. There are so many new ones every day, and they range from helpful to downright strange. You can’t help but wonder if it’s worth your time to try them out, or if it’s just another one of those things that will end up in the “too weird” pile.

But don’t worry—I’ve done the hard work for you! I’ve compiled six of my favorite TikTok makeup hacks into one handy guide so you can find what works best for you and your routine, no matter how busy or lazy you might be feeling at any given moment in time. I’ve rounded up makeup tips and tricks that I think are worth trying out!

1. Using Blush as Color Corrector

If you’re like me, you’re always looking for ways to save time and money. There’s nothing more frustrating than spending a bunch of money on makeup products, only to realize you can’t use them for more than one purpose. One way to do this is by repurposing your makeup products for more than one use. You may think that using a color corrector as a blush would make your face appear oddly gray or green, but instead, it gives your face an instant glow. You can also use this product on its own or mix it with your foundation for added coverage and brightness—it’s up to you!

If you’ve never tried using blush as a color corrector as before, we highly recommend giving it a go! All you need is a small amount of product (we’d recommend starting with just the tiniest amount) and blend well. You’ll be amazed at how quickly your face can look brighter! It gives the cheeks just enough color without looking too heavy or unnatural.

First things first: if you’re new to using color correctors as an all-over face color, let us just say that it’s not a bad idea to start with the one that’s a shade lighter than your current skin tone. That way, when it oxidizes (which happens when makeup sits on the skin), it won’t end up looking too orange or dark for your complexion! The second thing is that you will need to blend the product out thoroughly—if not, it will look like you’re wearing clown makeup (not cute).

2. Contouring Your Nose With Eyeliner

You know how you sometimes have to look at a makeup product for a while before you realize what it can do? Well, this is one of those products. TikTok user @_minkeit who popularized this trick has been using the eyeliner pencil as a nose contour for a few months now, shared her trick. She was initially drawn to it because she couldn’t find dark enough contour products for her skin tone. However, after using it on her eyebrows and lips, she realized that it would also work as a nose contour.

It’s easy to control and it makes the nose look amazing. Here’s how you can use an eyeliner pencil to contour your nose.  Contouring your nose with a pencil can be a fun way to experiment with makeup and create a look that’s unique to you. You’ll want to start by applying foundation or concealer over the area where you want to contour your nose, then set it with powder. Next, use an eyeliner pencil in one shade darker than your natural skin tone to draw a line along the sides of your nostrils, starting at the inner corner and ending at the outer corner. You can also add a little bit of definition at the tip of your nose by drawing another line from the tip down toward the nostril opening. Now blend out those lines using a blending brush or sponge!

3. Manga Lashes Trend

Have you heard of this new lash trend? If you haven’t heard about the latest beauty trend, I’ll fill you in.  If you’re a fan of manga and anime, you’ve probably noticed that the lashes on these characters’ eyes tend to grow into pointy clusters that are spaced out along the top and bottom lash lines, creating a spiky look. You don’t need a strip lash to get the manga lash effect. You just have to space out your clusters carefully and stick with long hairs that stick out from shorter ones. It’s a little bit of an art, but once you get it, you can make manga lashes happen every time!

Manga lashes are all about individual lashes. It’s very easy to do, but there are some things you need to know before you start. First, make sure you have the right tools. You will need good mascara and a pair of tweezers and false eyelashes. To achieve the manga lashes look, you’ll want to start by applying mascara to your lashes. Then, using a pair of scissors, cut a false lash into tiny short and long pieces. With lash glue, adhere each section to the eye, using the longer pieces on the top and the shorter ones on the bottom for the separated look. At the end, you’re left with wispy lashes that have smaller sections of long, pointy hairs, just like a manga character! The new look has quickly become popular on social media, and every crossdresser can do this!

4. Adding a Heart Highlight on the Nose

If you’re looking for a new way to add some flair to your contour game, this style could be for you. I personally love this trick because it’s so easy to do and gives you a lot of room for creativity. You can add a heart highlight on your nose, and it will look like you have an adorable little mark on your face!

It’s more for creative purposes than to change how you sculpt. If you like experimenting with makeup and want to try something new, we think you’ll enjoy this trick.

Start off by applying concealer to your nose and drawing two lines down the bridge of your nose. Use a sponge to blend out the concealer, then dot a tiny heart on the tip of your nose. Blend that into the rest of the face, making sure to keep its shape. Next, add powder over your entire face and around the heart shape, making sure not to mess up its shape. Sharpen and define your lines as necessary before adding pink blush right in the center of that heart shape. Finally, swipe on some shimmery highlighter on top of everything else and you’re done!

5. Daring pops of color

Ready to step away from the clean makeup look? We’re always looking for new ways to make our makeup look even more fun and unique. And while sisters love a good cat eye, sometimes we want to try something different. Enter the daring-pops-of-color TikTok makeup hack. This is a super cool way to rock bold colors on your eyes, but it’s not hard at all! The key is to use eyeliner and eye shadow in the same color family, so that the colors all blend together nicely.

If you’re looking for a new way to spice up your eyelids, check out this TikTok makeup hack! This trend is all about using daring colors such as orange, pink, blue, purple, and green as eyeliners and eye shadows. You can use any kind of liner or shadow you want. We recommend using gel liners so they’ll last longer—but here are some ideas for colors. For orange, you’re going to want something with a matte finish.

This is because this will make it easier for you to blend out into other shades later on if necessary. We recommend using a plum purple or brownish red shade as your base color, then adding an orange liner on top of it. Pink: For this one, we recommend using a light yellowish-green base color and then adding a hot pink liner on top of it (or vice versa). This will give your eyes an amazing pop of color that’s still subtle enough for everyday wear!

6. Makeup inspired by emojis

Emoji-inspired makeup is a fun trend that’s been sweeping the internet, especially TikTok. There are so many fun ways to do this. You can do it with your whole face or just focus on one feature, and the possibilities are truly endless! You can also use different colors of eyeshadow to represent different emojis. For example, if you want to use a blue eyeshadow, you could try using a lighter blue for the eyes and then a darker shade around the outside of your eye.

It’s a great way to express your inner mood and personality, and it can be even more fun if you’re with friends! Here are some emoji-inspired makeup looks that you can try out this weekend. Firstly, sugar lips (?). This look is perfect for those who like to wear a lot of colors. You can use any lip gloss or lipstick that you have in your makeup bag and apply it in the shape of a heart on your lips. You’ll have some fun playing around with different shades before deciding which one looks best on you! Next, unicorn lips. This look is great if you’re feeling whimsical or want to feel like a princess!

All you need is a pink lip gloss or lipstick and some glittery eyeshadow—and voila! You’re ready to go! Lastly, heart eyes/love eyes (❤️). If you want something more subtle, try this look. Apply eyeliner in the shape of a heart on both sides of your lower lashes. It’s an easy way to show off how much someone means to you without being too obvious about it!
