Most of the time, our lipsticks accentuate our dull faces, making us look brighter and happier.

With this, I know how challenging it is to choose the best lipstick, especially these days when there are just too many options in the market!

Just like you, I’ve experienced being confused with what shade or style to choose, so let me share with you the different lipstick hacks you need for your next crossdressing session!

These hacks will include factors you need to consider, as well as tips on how you can make your lips more attractive and fuller.

There’s a reason why we, as crossdressers, love putting on lip products, especially lipsticks.

Basically, it’s because of the differences in our lips with the women’s.

Our lips are thinner and flatter because of the greater distance between our noses and the opening of our mouths.

On the other hand, women’s lips appear higher and fuller because of the smaller distance.

With this, applying lipstick makes our lips appear fuller and sexier, resembling women’s perky and kissable lips.

2. What You Should Look for In Lipstick

With several lipsticks becoming a trend today, I suggest you check out these important details you need to look for when buying one.

Your Skin Tone

Your skin tone is an important factor in choosing your lipstick shade, and we know that the shade that works for you might not work for you.

With this, it’s always best to swatch or test out each shade in the store before purchasing one.

An important tip: always choose the lipstick color that suits your skin complexion.

Choosing A Color of Lipstick

The shade of your lipstick speaks greatly of the personality and vibe you want to give off, but it should also depend on your overall look.

When I started crossdressing, I would usually buy sampler sets to swatch and match them with my outfits back home.

Matching your lip color with your wig also helps!

While it can be expensive, it’s actually fun to mix and match different lipstick shades!

To help you determine which color you wish to choose, I have listed some of the common shades and what personality they say about you.

• Red – confidence.

• Bright Pink – vibrant and bubbly.

• Pastel or soft pink – prim, poised, and feminine.

• Mauve – mysterious and fierce.

As a crossdresser who loves wearing neutral-colored outfits, my go-to lipstick colors are soft pink and coral.

Sheer Lipstick

I recommend sheer lipsticks if you don’t want your lips to dry out.

They help moisturize your lips and are perfect for a night out because they’re very glossy.

However, it would be best if you reapplied at least once or twice when your night is long because sheer lipsticks do not last as long as matte does.

Demi-Matte Lipstick

Demi-matte lipsticks mean partial matte, so they’re glossier than traditional matte lipsticks.

They can last as long as matte lipsticks, but you also need to apply a lip balm pre-applying the lipstick.

Lip Gloss

Lip gloss, the glossiest of all types, gives less pigment and subtle lip coloration.

I don’t recommend this for a long night out because it can wear off quickly.

I only use my lip gloss when I’m going to be out for a short while.

Creme or Matte

Deciding between creme or matte is challenging.

I suggest wearing matte lipsticks during the summer months because they last long, even when it’s hot outside.

If you don’t want your lips to dry, go with the creme ones.

Creme lipsticks can bring out more shine than matte ones, and they can also be moisturizing.

While they don’t last as long, creme ones are highly pigmented and help emphasize the shape and size of your lips.

Checking Reviews and Ingredients

Several websites feature different customer reviews if you wish to purchase lipsticks online.

I enjoy looking at these reviews because they help me make a more informed decision, and you should, too.

Knowing the ingredients of lip products is also important, especially when you have sensitive lips and are allergic to certain chemicals.

Steps To Make Your Lips Look Fuller

As crossdressers, I know how much we want our lips to look fuller to perfect the beautiful woman transformation we desire.

That being said, let me share easy tips and tricks to enhance your lips and make them look sexier.

1. Shaving Your Beard

Don’t forget to shave your beard! Doing this helps us completely resemble the flawless faces of women.

Remember also to hide your beard shadow with your makeup products.

You can either shave with a razor or use depilatory creams, but I prefer using depilatories because they’re generally painless.

2. Exfoliating Your Lips

The most important tip you need to remember is exfoliating your lips.

Regular exfoliation prevents your lips from flaky, making them look smaller than your lips’ original appearance.

I recommend getting lip scrubs if you can spare a little from your crossdressing budget.

Trust me; lip scrubs have been my holy grail in maintaining the smoothness of my lips!

3. Using Lip Masks

Lip masks moisturize our lips like face masks, giving them the perfect plumpness we need.

They contain collagen to achieve the lip smoothness we want.

There are different lip masks to choose from, such as gel-type sheet masks.

I prefer overnight ones because I tend to forget to remove the sheet ones after the recommended minutes.

4. Hydrating with a Lip Balm

Hydrating your lips with a good balm also helps them achieve their fullest look!

I tend to forget this step, but let me tell you one thing: using a good lip balm can certainly help your lips remain healthy and look kissable!

Proper hydration of your body can also contribute to keeping your lips fresh and moisturized!

Don’t forget to drink eight glasses of water every day.

5. Trying A Lip Plumping Treatment

Several lip-plumping treatments are available, ranging from balms to lip glosses, and I can guarantee that your lips will look plump and healthy after they get treated!

A good treatment also helps your lips achieve more volume and enhance their color, making your lip line more defined.

6. Overlining Lips

This hack is something I learned from Kylie Jenner, and it works wonders!

Overlining your lips can help make them look bigger and fuller.

An important tip: apply concealer on your lips before you overline to blur out the distinct line between your face and lips.

The concealer helps make the color of your lips pop and look more vibrant!

Choose your go-to concealer and apply it to your lips.

Then, using your lip liner, slowly trace the outside of your natural lip line.

After overlining, simply use lipstick with the same shade as your lip liner and fill in your lips.

7. Layering with Nude Lip Colors

One of the key tips to making your lips bigger is having that right dimension.

Layering your lip color helps in amping up your pout. The process is quite simple.

Apply your chosen shade over your entire lips, and top it with a white shade or a lighter color right in the middle of both your lips.

Aside from making them bigger and fuller, you’re making the colors more evened out!

8. Contour Shade on Your Bottom Lip

Another hack is applying contour on your bottom lip.

After applying your lipstick, get your powder contour and run it under your bottom lip, creating a shadow.

I suggest applying the contour lightly. You can add more if you wish!
