How to Remove Your Makeup in an Emergency
Crossdressers try to look more feminine in every way possible. And one of the most important aspects is facial feminization. Makeup helps a lot with that. But sometimes, it may not come off easily. A crossdressing life has many challenges, and we are at a constant risk of getting caught. If you don’t know how to remove your makeup quickly, chances are even higher.
So, if you didn’t come out as a crossdresser and intend to keep it a secret, you must learn a few tricks and techniques.
Choose a good makeup remover, and wash your face with soap and water.
Always keep a number of makeup wipes handy, and prepare to run to the bathroom when needed!
These emergencies, in which we must get rid of the makeup we’re wearing, occur quite often. Here are my tips if you ever find yourself in this kind of situation.
1. Choose the right makeup remover
The makeup remover of your choice will have an impact on how quickly and how easily the makeup comes off.
Sometimes, the ideal depends on both the type of makeup you’re using and the composition of your skin.
But, in terms of removing it as fast as possible, these factors should be put aside.
We’re talking about an emergency, after all, and not something you’ll be doing every time.
When someone thinks about skin care, moisturizing creams and various types of oil-free makeup removers come to mind.
They’re great for regular use and skin care routines but may not work for us since they dissolve the makeup molecules at a rather slow pace.
Micellar water, on the other hand, breaks the makeup’s surface tension and removes impurities from our skin.
Not only does it remove your makeup in less than two minutes, but it also prevents residues from getting into your pores.
It’s also cheap and accessible, so that’s my recommendation. Here are a few brands of micellar water that I recommend.
Best one if you’re on a budget:
A better choice for oily skin:
If your skin is dry, try this one:
2. Use a big piece of cloth
Most people are used to removing their makeup with small pieces of cotton.
But if you’re in a hurry, you may not have enough time to do this kind of preparation.
I mean, the average person may use up to 10 pieces of cotton for a single removal, and the process takes quite some time.
That’s because each cotton piece covers a very small area of our face and gets full of makeup too soon.
It would be best if you had something that covers a larger area, allowing you to remove more of the makeup at once.
With that in mind, while crossdressing, try to keep a large piece of cloth near you.
You can soak it in micellar water in order to ensure it wipes out all the makeup that comes into contact with it.
The material is up to you, but it would be wise to avoid polyester or elastic materials.
Aim for cotton, wool, or silk. Sometimes, an old T-shirt may do the trick.
If you want to preserve it for further use, wash it away from your other clothes.
3. Keep a stash of makeup wipes
Makeup wipes are good allies in emergencies. They may save you some time, but they are a little expensive.
They come already soaked in micellar water or some other kind of makeup remover.
And besides that, they are larger than the average cotton pieces most crossdressers use.
Even if you’re on a budget, try to keep at least a little stash for emergencies.
They are also easier to hide and dispose of without anyone noticing.
4. Run to the bathroom
Sometimes, what we need is some privacy to remove our makeup unnoticed.
If you hear someone coming, grab your makeup-removing tools and run to the bathroom as quickly as possible.
Lock the door, and if anyone asks, just say you’re using the toilet or about to take a shower.
But if you choose the latter, remember to bring some masculine clothes and a towel with you.
There are two downsides to this method, but I have some workarounds.
The first one is that you may forget to bring something.
You can solve that by keeping a small yet complete makeup removal kit in a small bag hidden in the bathroom.
The second one is regarding any feminine clothing you may be wearing.
A good trick is to have a laundry basket of your own or at least a black plastic bag.
Undress and throw everything in there if you’re in a hurry, then take it to your room with you.
5. Don’t forget to use water and soap
No matter how good your makeup remover is or how well you wiped your face, you can’t be sure every particle is gone.
So, to prevent allergies or oily skin, wash your face with a generous amount of water and soap after you’re done.
There’s no problem if you can’t do that right afterward due to time and privacy, but remember to do so before you sleep.
Staying with makeup particles in your face overnight is guaranteed to cause problems.
So, these were my tips on how to get rid of your makeup in case of an emergency.
These techniques shall help you quickly remove all the makeup you’re wearing so you can keep your crossdressing habits a secret.
If you pay attention to the products you’re using and what you keep around, you may avoid getting caught even if someone shows up unexpectedly.
