From using foundation to using powders and color correctors, we have several ways to help us conceal our beard shadow and enhance of feminine look! So, let’s dive in and explore these beard cover makeup ideas that every MTF crossdresser should know about!
1. Pink or Red Color Corrector
As MTF crossdressers, hiding our beards can be tricky. Even with the best makeup products, our facial hair can sometimes peek through and ruin our whole look. By using a pink or red color corrector under your foundation, you can neutralize the appearance of your beard and create a more flawless finish.
Just like foundation, powder, and other concealers, color correctors can be used to cover up our beards!
Here’s how:
- Identify the areas of your face that need correcting:
This is probably the most important step. You need to know where exactly to apply the color corrector in order to conceal your beard effectively. In most cases, these areas include the chin, jawline, and upper lip.
- Choose the right color corrector:
As we mentioned before, pink and red color correctors are ideal for concealing beards. This is because they neutralize the appearance of facial hair.
- Apply the color corrector:
There are a few different ways you can go about this. You can either use your fingers or a makeup brush to apply the color corrector to your face. We recommend using a brush for a more precise application.
- Set with powder:
Once you’ve applied the color corrector, it’s important to set it with powder. This will help to keep the product in place and prevent it from creasing or smudging throughout the day.
- Finish with your usual makeup routine:
After you’ve set the color corrector, you can go ahead and finish your makeup routine. This includes applying foundation, concealer, powder, blush, etc.
2. Medium Coverage Liquid Foundation
If you’re like most of us, chances are you’ve struggled with how to conceal your beard while still maintaining a natural feminine appearance. Medium coverage liquid foundation is the perfect solution! Here’s a quick and easy guide on how to use it:

- Pump a small amount of foundation onto the back of your hand or a makeup brush.
- Using a makeup brush, blend the foundation into your skin, starting from the center of your face and working outwards. Ensure you pay extra attention to those specific areas where you might have more hair growth, such as along your jawline.
- Once you’re satisfied with the coverage, set your foundation with a powder or setting spray. This will help it last longer and prevent any unwanted shine.

When looking for the perfect foundation, it’s important to find one that’s specifically made for liquid coverage. This will help ensure that your foundation goes on smoothly and doesn’t clump up in your beard. It’s also good to find a foundation with SPF protection, which will help protect your skin from the sun. And finally, make sure to choose a shade that matches your skin tone. With these tips in mind, you will find the perfect medium coverage liquid foundation for your needs!
4. Benefits of using Medium Coverage Liquid Foundation
There are many benefits to using liquid foundation to conceal our beards. First, it’s a great way to achieve an even skin tone. Second, it can help camouflage any redness or irritation that may be present in our beard. Third, it provides a barrier between our skin and the makeup, which can help protect our skin from any possible irritants. And fourth, it helps to create a smooth, polished look that will give you confidence when you step out into the world!
● Loose Powder
We can also use loose powder to cover our beards as MTF crossdressers. It’s a quick and easy way to do your makeup, and it will give you a natural look. You can find loose powder at any drugstore or beauty supply store.
Here’s a quick and easy tutorial on how to use loose powder to conceal your beard:
- Start with a clean, dry face. Apply a small amount of loose powder to your brush, and tap off any excess.
- Buff the powder into your skin in circular motions, paying special attention to areas where your beard is most visible.
- Once you’ve evenly distributed the powder, use a clean brush or your fingers to lightly smooth over the area and blend everything together.
- Finish by applying your foundation or concealer as usual.
And that’s it! Using loose powder to disguise your beard is a quick and easy way to help create a more polished and put-together look. Give it a try next time you’re getting ready for your day and see how it works for you!
● Powder Foundation
We all know that feeling when you meet someone new, and they just can’t seem to take their eyes off your beard. It’s a great conversation starter, but sometimes you just want to blend in and look more feminine. That’s where powder foundation comes in! This type of makeup is perfect for covering up any unwanted facial hair while still giving your skin a natural-looking finish.
If you’re new to the world of powder foundation, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered with this quick guide. First, start by finding a shade that matches your skin tone as closely as possible. Then, using a large powder brush, apply the foundation evenly all over your face. Be sure to pay extra consideration to areas where you have more facial hair, such as your chin and upper lip.
Here’s how to use powder foundation to cover up your beard:
- Choose the right shade of powder foundation. This is crucial – if the shade is too light or too dark, it will only accentuate your beard instead of concealing it. Opt for a shade that closely matches your skin tone.
- Apply the powder foundation evenly all over your face, using a brush or a clean makeup sponge.
- Use a concealer brush to apply a small amount of powder foundation directly onto any areas where your beard is particularly visible.
- Use a setting powder to set the powder foundation in place and help it last longer.
- To touch up throughout the day, simply reapply powder foundation to any areas where your beard is showing through.
With these tips, you’ll be able to achieve a flawless complexion – without anyone ever suspecting that you’re hiding a beard!
So, what are you waiting for? Give powder foundation a try today and see how easy it is to achieve a natural-looking finish.
One of the best ways to disguise a beard is with a foundation primer. Foundation primer will create a smooth surface on your skin, making it easier to apply foundation and concealer. It will also help to fill in any facial hair, making it less noticeable. If you have particularly thick facial hair, you may want to use a thicker foundation or even a tinted primer to help cover it up.
Concealer is another essential product for MTF crossdressers. It can be used to cover up blemishes, dark circles, and facial hair. When choosing a concealer, it is important to find one that matches your skin tone as closely as possible. You may also want to consider using a color-correcting concealer to help offset any redness or discoloration in your skin.

My first attempt at makeup was a disaster. I had ample time on my hands thank you covid. So i experimented and admittedly i am not artistic. I did the best i could with my ability and lack thereof. Also my mother and older sister never wore a bit of makeup so i had no background there to help in my ignorance. I sat in front of a makeup mirror and got what i thought was an acceptable coverage with only the mustache being my toughest concern. Having to go out in public required wearing a mask so on with the mask and out i go. I caught a cab and was dropped off near the bar. I went in and ordered a soft drink, one because i don’t drink and two thanks to covid they could not serve alcohol. When my drink came i took off my mask and sipped my coke. I had a bit of food and after a couple hours went back to my hotel. In taking off my mask in my room i discovered that most or a good part of the makeup had rubbed off in the mask. My face, well suffice it to say was atrocious. I was embarrassed as i sat in front of the mirror to remove the remains of make up. of course i laughed at myself cause crying don’t help…
