How to Determine the Best Time to Buy New Crossdressing Stuff
One of the crossdressing-related activities that I enjoy the most, is to buy new stuff.
New dresses, new panties, new bras, corsets and wigs.
Every single time I buy something like that, a smile is almost guaranteed to appear on my face, and I usually spend a considerable amount of my earnings this way.
Despite the joy it brings us, compulsory shopping can be dangerous for our wallets if we can’t control ourselves, so I bring here a few tips to better determine the right time for you to buy new clothes, shapewear, wigs, and even makeup!
TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. Watch for the durability of your clothes
If you wear the same outfit too often, it will probably wear out.
Even if you don’t, chances are that it’s gonna naturally wear out with time, or due to storage mistakes, although it might take longer to happen.
So, if you notice that the fabric in your clothes no longer feels as it should (like when it’s too stretchy, or unraveling for example), you should consider it as a sign to buy something new to replace it.
To avoid this kind of situation, and make your clothes last longer, try not to wear the same outfit every day, and wash it regularly, always checking the instructions on the tag.
Also, store them in a well-ventilated area, and just after they have properly dried.
2. When it doesn’t fit anymore
Our bodies change with time. We grow up, gain, and lose weight as we get older.
if you feel something doesn’t fit you anymore (either because it’s too small or too big for your current shape), it’s time to change your look.
Always make sure to measure yourself properly, and compare your measurements to size charts available in your country’s measurement unit, or manufacturer-specific charts.
However, always make sure to keep your old clothes if you feel that you’re gonna gain or lose weight shortly.
During this time of pandemic, a lot of people are gaining weight from staying home, but they are most likely gonna lose it again once things go back to normal, so keep that in mind.
If you feel like your current shape is gonna last longer, you can always donate your old clothes to charity or a thrift store to make up space for new stuff.
3. When shapewear no longer holds its shape
Well, the whole point of shapewear is to reshape your body, concealing or highlighting your curves, boobs and so on.
However, if you don’t store it properly or it gets too old, chances are that it won’t be able to hold its shape anymore, losing most (if not all) of its usefulness.
If you notice it no longer works as it should to improve your silhouette, you should probably get a new one.
This is the case for most corsets, waist cinchers, and even binders, and the previous tips also apply to them.
In the case of silicone breastplates and bodysuits, you should pay attention mostly to storage and size, getting bigger ones if the ones you have no longer fit.
4. Crossdressing Stuff-Useful life of wigs
Wigs also wear off with time, but it depends on how often you use them, and how they are stored.
If you wear the same wig daily, it should be replaced within five or six months, but if you just dress up occasionally, it should last for a couple of years.
You’ll be able to tell when a wig is reaching the end of its useful life when it starts to get entangled and lose a lot of hair.
Storage also affects how long your wigs might last, so make sure to store them properly and wash them after a day out.
You can also buy new wigs every time you want to try a new hairstyle or hair color.
5. Crossdressing Stuff-Makeup supplies
There isn’t a big secret about when you should replace the makeup itself, but let’s dive a little deeper into this subject.
You shall buy some new makeup when you run out of it, of course, but there are a few more occasions in which it could be justified.
Remember, makeup has expiration dates as well, and if you use makeup that has already expired, you are risking yourself.
Expired makeup can contain harmful bacteria and fungi which are bad for your skin, and your health in general, so as soon as you notice your makeup has expired, go shopping for new supplies.
Another case in which you should feel free to buy new makeup even if you haven’t run out of it, is when you want to try a new look or combine new colors.
That’s right! Makeup In general isn’t THAT expensive, so it shouldn’t be a problem for you to buy a couple of new foundation colors, new lipsticks, and eyeshadows.
