I’m talking about the Sanderson sisters, the three witches from the original movie. Bette Midler, Sarah J. Parker, and Kathy Nalimy return to their roles as Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson. Their costumes are easy to make and cheap to buy. And their different builds allow cross-dressers of varying body types to dress up as them. Another good idea is to gather a group of cross-dressing friends to go out as all three of them!

Pinhead

The horror masterpiece “hellraiser” is also gaining a reboot this year. And on this franchise overhaul, the villain Pinhead is now a woman! If you’re aiming at something scary, this is an excellent opportunity for the season! The character is much more terrifying than the usual “slasher” type of villain. And she achieves that with a much simpler look. You can dress up as the new pinhead with simple body feminization tricks and some white makeup. Use shades of gray for the contouring, and don’t worry too much about the details.

Elvira, also known as “the mistress of darkness,” is a character that was made famous back in the late 80s. She was the main protagonist of her tv show and comedy-horror movie and became a symbol of beauty for the time. Elvira’s figure is frequently associated with Halloween but never became a cliche. But what makes her relevant is that she became an LGBTQ icon last year. In 2021, Cassandra Peterson, who lived Elvira on the big screen, came out as LGBTQ. It already makes them an appropriate choice for Halloween costumes. But they are even more relevant now. There’s upcoming series based on Wednesday Adams, the family’s daughter. It premiers in late November this year. But enthusiasts are already watching old movies. The trailer for the series also features Morticia, Wednesday’s mother. These two characters have a taste for black outfits. And that is an excellent thing for cross-dressers! You can get creative with the makeup and use the basics as a starting point.

Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch)

After starring in her miniseries, Wanda was a crucial character in “Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness.” Her appearance in this movie is closer to horror movies than to the usual superhero formula of previous Marvel installments. This new approach to the character made her a perfect choice for this year’s Halloween. Besides that, her outfits are pretty appealing for cross-dressers. Besides, they’re not meant to fit cross-dressers, leading to disastrous results. Because of that, I recommend you make your costume at home. DIY outfits tend to turn out better than expected and can be done on a budget!
