“Casa Fluída” bar

This is more of a cultural space but also offers some crossdressing services.

The name means “Flowing house” in an allusion to gender-fluid people.

It’s an LGBT-friendly bar in the historical zone of São Paulo.

It was built inside of a mansion in the 1960s and includes an “experimentation space” with a group of professional drag queens.

There, they help you to do your makeup and provide you with wigs and outfits to try.

It’s a good place to go for beginners that are getting into crossdressing and making friends in the LGBT community.

They host many events there as well, being a safe space for queer people that want a night out in São Paulo.

“Barbiearia” barber shop

Now, that’s an interesting one. Barbershops are often associated with masculinity and heteronormative standards.

But that’s not the case for this one in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.

This institution specializes in serving the LGBT public, including trans women, crossdressers, and drag queens.

They offer shaving, hairdressing, and makeup services for a variety of clients.

It improves their self-esteem and confidence. Besides that, last year, they built a bar on the second floor so queer people can hang out, eat and drink.

The BCC and local services

The creators of these events were members of the Brazilian crossdressing club.

This club from Rio de Janeiro was an online community from before social media and worked via e-mail.

But now, it’s scattered throughout different platforms.

That’s so crossdressers from different regions can find other crossdressers near them.

This initiative helped to build lots of local communities, even in the smaller cities, of crossdressers who help each other.

As a result, it’s now easy to find minor studios that may help you with your transformation.

They often are regular makeup studios that support trans people and crossdressers.

Because of that, they might lack some tools, such as wigs and breast forms.

But they will do what they can to aid local crossdressers.

Brazil, like any other country, is home to several crossdressers and trans people.
