7 Best Cosplay Ideas with Z-Cup Breastforms for MtF Crossdressers
There weren’t many cosplay conventions in my city.
But since I’m an avid fan of all things anime, an otaku, if you will,
I don’t mind sacrificing my precious time off to attend faraway cos-con locations.
The commute was tiring and bringing merch home was impractical.
But I made many memories and made new friends. I even cosplayed a few times.
It’s good that the cosplay denizens are growing.
But it also means that it’s more difficult to be a standout cosplayer.
As a casual cosplayer and full-pledge MtF crossdresser, I’m glad to be of service!
Many cosplay ideas linger amuck. But have you thought of going all out, and I mean all out, for your cosplay?
Eye-catching cosplays are dramatic, exaggerated, or novel. Something must make them unforgettable.
Then, let’s make sure no one will forget your next cosplay with Z-cup breast forms!
Cosplay in Pop Culture
Cosplay or kosupure, as the Japanese call it, is the shorthand of “costume play.”
Simply, it’s wearing fictional characters’ costumes and pretending to be them.
One can say cosplayers are actors who mimic characters’ appearance, personality, and behaviors.
Cosplaying has been more popular over the years.
The most dedicated fanbases are in Japan, South Korea, and China, as obvious as that may sound.
However, it’s also gaining traction outside of Asian countries, like Britain and America.
Back then, cosplaying was considered an otaku-only event.
But now, aside from being a hobby, it’s acknowledged as an effective way to explore gender and identity.
Cosplay removes any prejudice in self and gender expressions.
If you look at cosplay communities online, you won’t see anyone stopping a girl from cosplaying
a manly warrior or chastising a boy who wants to cosplay as a delicate princess.
There’s no end to characters to cosplay either.
Though originally from anime, cosplay has extended to characters from movies, TV shows, and video games.
As such, these characters also have a diverse range of gender expression.
There are even ongoing debates discussing characters’ possible gender as the media they were from didn’t specify.
Is Cosplaying and Crossdressing the Same?
Cosplaying is presenting yourself as a specific fictional character.
“Crossdressing” is crossing to another side and “dressing” as those on that side.
With that said, no— cosplaying and crossdressing aren’t the same.
- Cosplayers embody a fictional character, whether it’s a character made by others or by them, aka “Own Character” or OC
- Crossdressers don’t necessarily need to embody another character
If there are differences, then there are also similarities between cosplay and crossdressing.
- Both are a form of escapism
- Both are a way to improve skills like sewing, hair, and makeup
- Both aren’t always connected to gender exploration
- Both are productive channels for creativity
- Both are mentally and physically stimulating
- Both require meticulous planning, designing, and selection
- Promotes improved social skills and self-confidence
Can an individual be both a cosplayer and crossdresser or vice-versa?
Yes— I am one, in fact! I was first a feminine cosplayer before being an MtF crossdresser.
The experiences I’ve accumulated as a cosplayer greatly helped my crossdressing journey.
Z-Cup Breastforms in Cosplay
Z-Cup breast forms don’t exist in biological women as they will lead to health complications,
like a destroyed back and difficulty moving. But false breast forms are different.
They are simply attached or worn, they are easy to use in crossdress and cosplay.
The best type of fake boobs are made of silicone.
Silicone Z-Cup breast forms copy the feel and movement of natural ones.
In cosplay, you can use Z-Cup breast forms to grab everyone’s attention.
There’s nothing wrong with this either as these cups enhance the authenticity and accuracy of your character.
In crossdressing, those who invest in Z-Cup breast forms crave to feel womanly.
In these instances, they are drawn to women’s parts that differ from men’s.
They exaggerate it in hopes of discovering what it feels like to be a woman.
Z-Cup Breastforms: An Unusual Choice
Z-Cup breast forms may be an uncommon choice, but not really surprising.
Smaller cup sizes are great for convenience and versatility.
They are the better choice cosplayers who attend a number of cos-cons.
Not to mention, many cosplayable characters have small chests.
There are many breast form cup sizes to pick from, but as I said in the beginning if you want to stand out, go all out!
If you’re an experienced cosplayer, you don’t plan to just go to a convention and mingle and walk about.
You want to build hype, try something new, and inspire others to do something out of the ordinary.
Did you become a cosplayer to just fall into the background?
Safe choices are bland, expected, and quite honestly, disappointing for many spectators.
7 Top Cosplay Trends for Z-Cup Breastforms
Showing up at a con with Z-Cup breast forms has shock value.
But the attention you should aim for should not be fleeting.
Strive to present cosplay that is beyond aesthetics.

Choose Easily Recognizable Characters
The easiest form of cosplay is choosing recognizable characters.
These characters are part of popular shows with massive fanbases.
By “popular,” I’m referring to either classic animations, like Dragon Ball Z, or newly released hits, like Jujutsu Kaisen.
Famous cosplay characters received their notoriety by having the main roles such as the hero,
primary villain, love interest of the hero, or the trusted sidekick of the hero.
Another way for characters to gain recognition is through iconic clips or memes that circulated or are still circulating online.
Just think of the “Is this a pigeon?” meme, where a man with eyeglasses points to a yellow butterfly.
It’s a scene from the 90s anime The Brave Fighter of Sun Fighbird that features a humanoid hero.
There are several recognizable fictional characters with large breasts.
Though not all of these characters actually have Z-Cup cup size, their fandoms consider them to be “heavily blessed” anyway.
Trust me, no one will ask questions to see their beloved character cosplayed with a bigger cup and bra size.
Some examples:
- Tsunade, Hinata Hyuga (Naruto)
- Rangiku Matsumoto, Orihime Inoue (Bleach)
- Nami, Boa Hancock (One Piece)
- Yor (Spy x Family)
- Rosaria (Genshin Impact)
- Mitsuri Kanroji (Demon Slayer)
- Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)
- Meiko Shiraki (Prison School)
- Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)
- Kasumi (Dead or Alive)
Scout Lesser-Known Characters
This tip might be tricky, especially if you don’t have a previous record of being an active cosplayer.
But if you’re already a well-known member of the cosplay community, choosing to participate
in a convention as a minor character will surely work.
You can rely on your co-cosplayers to ask about the character you’re cosplaying.
Conversely, if you know you have a damn-well-good cosplay, everyone will notice you even if you’re a newcomer.
You’ll also avoid dressing up as the same character as someone else in the cos-con.
Some examples:
- Rangiku Matsumoto (Bleach)
- Darkness Lalatina (Konosuba)
- Mira Suou (World’s End Harem)
- Lucoa (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid)
- Brandish (Fairy Tail)
- Esdeath (Akame Ga Kill)
- Konori Mii (A Certain Scientific Railgun)
- Irina Jelavic (Assassination Classroom)
Do a Cosplay Mashup
To prove your creativity level is above the rest, mix characters from the same or different fandoms.
Some cosplayers literally split their costume by presenting half of Character A and half of Character B.
The division can be the Left Side versus the Right Side.
A top half and bottom half will do well, too.
The combination can be in a romantic sense or for other reasons,
such as the two being the main characters of their stories.
Another method is to present a possible baby or offspring of what two characters from different universes might look like.
It can be an MxF, FxF, MxM pairing.
Don’t be embarrassed to depend on a favored pairing either.
For instance, Jack Frost x Elsa became a popular ship in 2013.
It’s hard to understand for non-otakus or shippers— these characters are from different universes,
their movies aren’t even produced by the same company! But this pair garnered many fans.
There are even a lot of shipping videos about them, one video (Elsa and Jack Frost – Faded) even has almost 148M views!
It’s crazy, huh? But that’s exactly the kind of dedication the cosplay community needs.
Cosplay a daughter or a fem-version combo of:
- Wonder Woman x Poison Ivy
- Superman x Batman
- Zoro x Sanji
- Captain America x Wonder Woman
- Harry Potter x Draco Malfoy
- Gojo Satorou x Geto Suguru
- Naruto Uzumaki x Izuku Midoriya
- Hinata Hyuga x Sakura Haruno
Challenge Yourself to a No-Buy Cosplay
If you’re up for a real challenge, you shouldn’t just focus on the characters themselves.
Focus on the how of cosplay.
In the many times I’ve been included in a group about cosplay, everyone has the utmost respect for those who create their own costumes.
It’s easy to buy or rent ready-made costumes,
but the satisfaction of being the creator of your own costume can’t be purchased.
The cosplay process is laborious, with complexity depending on the character and features you want to show.
All processes also include discarded materials that go straight to the trash.
That’s money immediately wasted.
Over the years, more and more cosplayers have called for the conscious creation of costumes.
It’s not easy, but the skills developed pay off.
In a No-Buy Cosplay Challenge, you’re tasked to work on and finish your costume within a set budget.
It encourages thrifting, recycling, and preferring cheat materials without sacrificing costume results.
Below are some tips to survive the No-Buy Cosplay Challenge:
- Join a cosplayers’ group to get expert tips on saving materials.
Within these groups, you can also post to ask for scrap, extra, or unneeded stuff to finish your costume.
You can also offer your extra materials to help the group.
- Frequently visit thrift shops or secondhand stores. Rummage through racks and boxes to find unexpected gems.
- Recycle old supplies— from your school, garden, and others.
- Do an impromptu spring cleaning and see if there are items you can use for your cosplay ventures.
- Search for cheap substitutes for expensive but common cosplay materials.
A Warning on Cheap Cosplay Materials
Preferring cheap alternatives might end up costing you more.
An example is stuffing old stockings with extra fabric in hopes of getting lifelike hips and butt.
You can make do with this if you’ll just pose for a photoshoot.
But if you plan to attend conventions, where you’re expected to walk around,
take pics with others, and maybe even perform the makeshift hip and butt pair will certainly slide down and look funky.
If you plan to cosplay for more than one time, the best thing to do is invest in silicone hip pads and butts.
Collab a Group Cosplay
Do you intend to arrive at cos-con with your other cosplayer friends?
Then why not arrive in style? It’s good for your costume to shine.
But it’s best to shine alone with others! Group cosplay requires cohesiveness.
So, plan your cosplay around a group of characters.
It doesn’t matter what the gender of the characters are.
If they are men, you can do a fem version of those members.
It’s also an excellent way to bond with your friends.
Instead of the tiring nights you’ll spend on creating your costume alone,
you can turn it into fun memories your group can talk about for years to come.
Below are some groups you and your friends can try to cosplay:
- Fem version of Demon Slayer’s Hashiras
- Powerpuff Girls
- Fem version of Power Rangers
- Charlie’s Angels
- Humanoid and fem version of Pokemon Monsters
- Female fighters from Tekken
Showcase Your Own Character Take
Among the cosplay ideas I have presented, this one is the trickiest.
For this one, you have the freedom to change a certain element of the character you plan to cosplay.
But be careful not to make too many alterations so that the character becomes unrecognizable.
To give you an idea, you can change the costume’s color palette or present an “Angel” version of a villain or an “Evil” version of a hero.
This trend offers more creative freedom but still stays true to the original character design.
The version you’ll portray can be inspired by a known discussion within the fandom.
It can also be a concept you put together by yourself.
Look through some examples I listed below.
You can incorporate your Z-Cup breast forms by presenting these character/s in female forms.
- An angel or good version of Sukuna, alternatively, a villain version of Gojo Satorou (Jujutsu Kaisen).
- If Tanjiro Kamado became the Demon and Nezuko became the Hashira (Demon Slayer)
- If Harley Quinn had a citrus color scheme (yellow, orange, or green) instead of pink, red, and blue
Create Your Own Character
If you want to have a full range of your cosplaying, then creating your own character is the way to go.
But take note, for it to still be considered cosplay, your OC should be a part of an already established fictional world.
For instance, Joel only had Ellie in Last of Us.
You can make an OC related to Ellie, such as a long-lost brother or maternal aunt who has a similar personality or features with her.
But since she’s older, she should be more mature mentally and physically.
An OC should enhance an already established fictional character’s story.
As a cosplayer, you can complete the lore and give more background to the characters.
This idea falls under the fanfiction or fanlore category.
If you go down this route, I suggest you build your character/s or introduce them to the fandom or cosplay group first.
This will give your character a foundation to stand on when you attend conventions.
An excellent example is the Protogen community where members are free to introduce their OCs.
Conclusion
Cosplay ideas are never-ending, especially for those who have creative minds.
Since cosplay is an open-minded and accepting community,
it doesn’t limit its members to their characters’ supposed gender.
That makes cosplay an effective activity to examine an individual’s identity and gender.
Crossdressers can hide behind the idea of cosplaying to avoid judgmental comments.
Those who see crossdressers cosplaying will just assume that it’s something they do for fun.
This alleviates the pressure new crossdressers might feel.
Z-Cup breast forms are the perfect item for crossdressers and cosplayers to stand out or step outside the ordinary.
While cosplayers choose this cup size to stay true to the character’s design, crossdressers do so to feel like women.
It’s all about exploration, creativity, and endless possibilities!
